The Post-antibiotic era?
During my lifetime I have seen:
- Propeller aircraft evolve into Space Ships.
- Doctors who come to your home and check for the cause of your illness, to Doctors that send You for x-rays, and take your blood, send it to a lab and prescribe drugs to treat the symptoms without even listening to your lungs, or palpating the liver etc..
- The first television set with three channels to smart TV’s that can download anything on the web.
- No antibiotics for when I had pneumonia at age six weeks, to an era that antibiotics no longer work for many infections.
What is “Germ Theory of Disease”?
The germ theory (developed by Pasteur) of disease states that certain diseases are caused by specific germs or infectious agents. That does not explain why some people get a cold when exposed to someone sneezing in their face and others in the same room at the same time do not succumb?
Antoine Bechamp (a well-known and widely respected professor, teacher, and researcher) said that germs are not the main factor; that the Terrain is all-important. In other words “if the soil is not fertile, the seed will not sprout” i.e. if the immune system is not robust the germ will take hold. As a matter of fact, on his death bed, Pasteur admitted that Bechamp was right and that the terrain was all important.
The Antibiotic treatment to kill germs has been the standard way to deal with infections. Unfortunately, the prescriptions have not been based on cultures, so most prescriptions are a guess as far as which bacteria or virus is the main agent in the symptoms. Therefore, when we get a common cold, we might be prescribed penicillin, which is not effective against the virus that is the main agent in the infection. This, in turn, kills the good bacteria in our gut and results in leaky gut which may lead to everything from food sensitivities to Irritable Bowel, to Ulcerative Colitis to liver stress.
With the overuse of these antibiotics, the germs have mutated into forms that no longer are affected by even the strongest antibiotics, or combinations of antibiotics. For instance, the MRSA infection that can kill a person who acquires this infection in the hospital is an example of the statement that precedes it.
That is how we have reached the end of the Antibiotic era.
What can you do to fight infections now?
Do not despair, there are age-old natural ways of healing any infection from H1N1 to Ebola to pneumonia-to the common cold.
For example: at the first signs of a cold
- Take 1,000 mg of VITAMIN C per hour
- Eat lots of garlic to keep your immune system up.
- Sweat it out –fever is a natural way to kill infections
- Ozone treatments clear up the remaining sinus issue
